There are now many practical ways to display 3D and each requires some type of glasses. Which display option is most suitable for your project or application will depend upon many factors, like the location, foot traffic per hour, ambient light, etc.
We'll be available to help you select the display that will offer you, or your client's audience, the most dynamic and immersive display technology can provide. We're familiar with working with exhibit builders and designing special and/or portable displays.
Stereomedia produces content for all types of stereo-able displays: CRT, Plasma, LCD, LED, OLED, Autostereoscopic*, HMD's and digital projection. Please select the display options below to help decide what might be the best choice for your particular application.
* Flat panel displays that require no glasses.
We will help you choose which projection package is best suited to your application.
There are two basic methods; single-projection and dual-projection.
As with most anything, there are advantages and disadvantages to both and which method is best suited to your presentation environment will be determined by the size of the allotted space, the number of people in the audience and what type of glasses will be used.

Stereomedia's History with 3D Electronic Glasses
In 1992, we formed Stereomedia, Inc. to develop, manufacture and market the first wireless 3D Electronic Viewing Systems for standard home TVs under the Reality® name. Before this, all liquid crystal glasses had to be connected by a wire and we felt the wire was going to interfere with the home viewer's freedom to move around. We sold 11,000 systems and because televisions in the 90's were all in standard definition and not HD, there were technology issues that some people found objectionable. We decided to discontinue manufacturing and concentrate on our core business, professional 3D content creation.
Now, after 20 years, the old standard definition TVs are beginning to be replaced with sleek, high definition 3DTVs, so we figured it might be a good idea to join resources with our friends at 3DTV Corp and introduce a whole new line of 3D home entertainment products that offered viewers inexpensive solutions to the high cost of manufacturers' glasses. Glasses that were more comfortable, more durable and had one startling feature the other glasses didn't have... compatibility with a variety of TVs, instead of just one.

Head-Mounted-Displays (HMD)
In addition to 3D digital and film production, Stereomedia also provides display hardware packages. One of the most immersive and personal methods of displaying stereoscopic images is the HMD (head-mounted-display).
Personal Viewing in 3D: A portable means to get a message across
3D games, advertising promotions and even the latest 3D movies like "Avatar", "Clash of the Titians", "Alice in Wonderland" and all that are yet to come, may be viewed easily.
To complete the immersive 3D experience most HMDs come with built-in stereo audio.
HMDs: The immersive 3D experience is available to large or small groups.
Pre Visualization Applications
Producers, art directors, camera operators or clients can watch their production "live" as it happens.
Director James Cameron: Using a 3D HMD to pre-visualize the scenes for "Avatar"
Stereomedia provided Cameron's production team with high-resolution 3D headsets during the pre-production phase.
Anaglyph is an inexpensive method of 3D that can be a very effective business or product promotion tool when used on the Web. Simply put, an anaglyph is a process whereby a three-dimensional visual effect is created by dyeing each of two images a different color, usually red and cyan or red and green, and then viewing them through complementary-colored filters, one over each eye. This definition usually applies whenever colored filters are used to obtain a stereoscopic effect. Digital technology has made it possible to display true colors that render an improved 3D effect.Anachrome™ A more effective version of red/cyan and superior to everything that has come before. The colors have been precisely "tuned" to intensify the 3D effect.[img_assist|nid=529|title=Anachrome™ Red & Cyan Glasses|desc=|link=node|align=center|width=0|height=]ColorCode® & SpaceSpex™ These are other versions of anaglyph which uses a dark blue and amber filter in place of red & cyan. The biggest advantage to this process is that more colors can come through, such as flesh tones, and there are already more than 100 million pairs of ColorCode® & SpaceSpex™ glasses that have been distributed across America and other parts of the world.*[img_assist|nid=446|title=147 million glasses just like these are still out there.|desc=|link=node|align=center|width=249|height=29][img_assist|nid=526|title=Here is an example of what a ColorCode® & SpaceSpex™ image looks like.|desc=|link=node|align=center|width=572|height=302]This is a frame grab from the video we did for TetraPak. All forms of anaglyph are a post-production process requiring specialized software and all methods feature the same basic advantages:
Stereomedia offers 3D production services for both methods.ChromaDepth®These glasses create striking 3D images from normal 2D images by pulling forward the color red to the foreground and sorting the remaining colors according to their position in the rainbow. It's not real 3D, but it's used to gain attention. Stereomedia created the all the "live action" footage for the KISS 3D Video. This technology isn't really 3D, but it's effective and eye-catching.[img_assist|nid=447|title=Here are the ChromaDepth® glasses that were bundled with the KISS video.|desc=|link=node|align=center|width=195|height=18] WE CAN CONVERT ANY 3D VIDEO OR FILM FROM ANY FORMAT TO ANY VERSION OF ANAGLYPH DESCRIBED ABOVE ! * Super Bowl 2009. 147 million pairs of ColorCode glasses were distributed through 28,000 retail outlets for several 3D/ColorCoded segments during half-time.
